The app

Find what's filling your phone. Decide what goes.

Swipe review

One photo at a time.

Swipe right to keep a photo, left to delete it, or skip it for later. Undo takes back the last swipe, and nothing is deleted until you've looked over what you marked and confirmed it. Point it at one folder when the whole library is too much.

Find duplicates

Byte-identical, not just the same name.

Every photo and video is compared by what's inside it, so a renamed copy is still caught and two different shots that share a name are not. In each group the original is marked to keep and the copies are offered for deletion, with the groups that free the most space first.

Duplicates found: 905 MB can be freed. 5,445 files scanned, 3,439 duplicate files, 1,983 groups.

Similar photos

Burst shots and near-copies.

Photos that look alike without being identical are grouped together, with the largest copy marked to keep. Look before you delete: alike is not the same as identical, and the app says so.

Large files

The biggest space hogs first.

Every photo and video over 10, 50 or 100 MB, or any size you set, with the largest at the top.

Old files

Untouched for months.

Media you haven't touched in 3, 6 or 12 months, or a period you choose, oldest first.

Screenshots

Review them, then clear them out.

Every screenshot in one grid, sorted newest, oldest or largest first. Select all and clear them in one go.

16 languages

In your own language.

The app follows your phone's language, or pick another in Settings. Arabic, Urdu and Persian are laid out right to left.

The details

Careful with your photos, down to the small things.

  • One folder at a time

Point Swipe review, Large files or Old files at a single folder, and go back to everything whenever you like.

  • Rows or a grid

Show files as a list or as a grid of pictures. Choose once and all four screens that have both remember it.

  • Trash first

On Android 11 and newer, deleted files go to your phone's trash and can be restored from your gallery. On older versions the app tells you plainly that a delete is permanent.

  • Look before you delete

Press and hold any file in a list or grid to see it full size, without selecting it.

  • Biggest wins first

Duplicates and Similar photos list their groups by how much space each one gives back, so the top of the list is worth the most.

  • Big libraries welcome

Swipe review starts on the first photos while the rest are still loading, and Similar photos remembers its work, so the next scan only looks at what's new.

  • Honest about access

If you allowed only some of your photos, the home screen says so, instead of looking like a phone with nothing to clean.

  • Stays on your phone

No account and no sign-in. Your photos are scanned and compared on the device, and they are never uploaded.

Free

Get your space back.

Swipe Clean is free and supported by ads: one on the home screen, and at most one full-screen ad a session, after you delete five or more files. None while you're swiping. A one-time purchase in Settings removes them for good.

There is no account and no sign-in, and your photos never leave your phone. Ads are served by Google AdMob and crash reports go to Firebase Crashlytics; the privacy policy explains what that involves. Runs on Android 7.0 and newer.
