Swipe Clean ("the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is accessed, how it is used, and your choices when using the App.
Swipe Clean is a phone cleaner and duplicate file finder designed to help users free up storage by finding and removing duplicate files, similar photos, large files, old files, and screenshots directly on their device.
No Personal Information
Swipe Clean does not require account creation or login.
The App does not collect or request:

To perform its core function, the App needs to read the files and media stored on your device. This access is used only to scan, analyze, and (at your request) delete files on your device.

Deletion is always initiated by you. The App never deletes anything automatically, and always shows you a file before it is removed.
On Android 11 and above, deleting within the App moves the selected items to your device's trash ("Recently deleted"), where your gallery app keeps them for a limited time and you can restore them. On Android 10 and below, the device has no trash and deletion is permanent.
Photo and Media Access (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)
Used to scan, display, and delete the photos, videos, and audio stored on your device.
Internet (INTERNET)
Used only to load advertisements and to send anonymous crash reports (see sections 7 and 8).
The App does not request:
Any settings and scan-related data the App needs are stored locally on your device only and are not transmitted to the developer. This includes your language choice, whether you have purchased the ad-free option, and a small fingerprint cache that makes repeat scans faster.
Swipe Clean is free to use. It offers optional in-app purchases that remove advertisements: a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, and a one-time purchase. Buying any of them is entirely your choice, and every cleaning feature works without it.
All payments are handled by Google Play. The App never sees or stores your payment details — no card number, no billing address, no name. Google Play processes the transaction and tells the App only whether an ad-free entitlement is currently active. The App records that single yes-or-no answer on your device.
There is no account and no server: nothing about your purchase is sent to the developer.
Subscriptions renew through your Google Play account and can be viewed, changed, or cancelled at any time in the Google Play Store under Payments and subscriptions. The App's Settings screen links directly to that page for the plan you hold. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own terms.
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

The App uses Firebase Crashlytics (a Google service) to detect and diagnose app crashes and stability issues so we can improve the App.

For users in regions where privacy regulations apply (such as the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), the App shows a consent form the first time you open it — after you have granted media access, and before any advertisement is loaded.
Your choice on that form decides which of three kinds of advertising Google serves you:
Where a consent form applies to you, the App's Settings screen shows a Privacy options row. You can use it to review, change, or withdraw your choice at any time. Ads already loaded under your previous choice are discarded when you change it.
Aside from Google AdMob (advertising) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting) described above, Swipe Clean does not use additional behavioral tracking or analytics services.
The developer does not sell or rent your data. Your files, file names, and scan results never leave your device and are never sent to the developer or to anyone else.

The developer does not control how Google processes this data.
Data held on your device — your settings, your language choice, the ad-free flag, and the local fingerprint cache — stays there until you clear the App's data or uninstall it. Uninstalling the App removes all of it.
The developer operates no server and retains nothing about you.
Crash reports are kept by Google for a limited period; Firebase Crashlytics retains crash data for approximately 90 days. Advertising data collected by AdMob is retained and deleted according to Google's own policies, described in Google's Privacy Policy.
Because the App has no account and stores nothing about you away from your device, there is no personal data held by the developer for you to request the deletion of. You can reset your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization entirely, in your Android settings at any time.
Swipe Clean is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The App does not store personal data on external servers. All file scanning and analysis happens locally on your device. Advertising and crash-reporting data are processed by Google as described above.
